Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania was formed May 1, 2007 through the merger of Penn's Woods, Scranton - Pocono, Penn Laurel and Hemlock Girl Scout councils. The organization is central and northeastern Pennsylvania's preeminent organization dedicated to all girls where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, they build character and skills for success in the real world.
