Bowling is able to trace its rootsbased on archeologists finding
a child's grave that resembled
modern tenpins. The Monroe County
Women's Bowling Association
dates back to 1947. As of 2007,
the Women's Board serves
approximately 600 women
bowlers from four bowling centers.
Local bowlers are recognized yearly
for either bowling scores or service
to their leagues.
